Program Objective
To make funding available for eligible applicants to leverage their money and resources by cost sharing with Reclamation on three different types of projects: 1) projects that save water; mitigate conflict risk in areas at a high risk of water conflict; and accomplish other benefits to increase the reliability of existing supplies. 2)development of water marketing strategies that will help prevent water conflicts and will contribute to water supply reliability; and 3) small-scale water efficiency projects to that have been identified through previous planning efforts to conserve and use water more efficiently; mitigate conflict risk in areas at a high risk of future water conflict; and accomplish other benefits that contribute to water supply reliability in the western United States.
